Yep, 60 Bullets Oughta Do It
Hey, another great self-investigation by the military! And with a wholly predictab-- er, wholly reasonable outcome! (Be sure to note the part about reloading. That's sure to be overlooked by Iraqis, yessir. No problem there.)

How can you blame the guy? Sometimes those pesky Iraqis don't stay down after the first 20 or 30 rounds... reloading was completely necessary. Jesus. I'm glad everyone learned something from the "41 shots" incident that this so strikingly resembles. I'm sure the instructions this guy was giving these two Iraqis was in clear, consice arabic and easy to understand, with no room for misunderstanding. The sign should have simply read: "Geneva Convention?"
Or, more accurately, "Geneva Convention, Geneva SCHMEMENTION!" Or something. I don't know. On the "41 Shots" thing, maybe the guy was bending down to pick up his explosives-laden wallet?
Gimme a break, no one said he didn't shoot the guys 60 times, what the Marines said was he didn't murder them. That the autopsy indicated that the one marine who claimed they were murdered was lying. Not surprisingly that same lying marine had previously been demoted by the very officer he was accusing. Man, the move from DC to NY has really changed the tone of your writing.
The deluge of non-credible government and military self-investigations is actually quite amazing. And the efforts many go to do defend the indefensible is, sadly, a sign of the troubled times we live in.
If the tone of my writing has changed, it's because the tone of the times has changed. And not for the better, he said sarcastically.
